Emulating the background technique of Eileen Godwin’s recent cards, here I have used my ink duster brushes through the stencil to create a ‘fading away’ background. I love this little girl stamp. I don’t know the make Im afraid.
A very talented lady called Eileen Godwin made a few cards in this style, and here are my attempts! Im quite happy with the way they look…basically Ive inked through a stencil, by dipping the stencil into watered down Distress Oxide inks and then pressing onto the card stock. I then used up the rest of the wet ink by pulling the card stock through it along the sides of the card stock. Theballerina stamp is unbranded. Sequins added.
Another card I made using distress oxide inks for the background, and Lavinia Stamps make up the rest of the design.
Another butterfly inked onto a distressed oxide inked background. Matted onto grey card stock.
Its been a while since I posted! Lost my mojo during the winter months, what with having colds etc! But its back and heres my first card. I stencilled a background and then stamped the butterfly over it. And a nice little quote to go with it!
